National Seeds Corporation (NSC), a Schedule ‘B’- Miniratna Category-I company, under Department of Agriculture & Cooperation, Oil Seeds Division, Ministry of Agriculture, Government of India issued notification invited applications for filling up 9 posts – 4 posts of Consultants and 5 posts of Technical Assistants -- under National Mission on Oilseeds and Oil Palm (NMOOP) on contract basis. Vacancy Details:
Total vacancies: 9 vacancies
1. Consultants: 4 posts
a. 2 Consultants for major oilseeds viz., Groundnut, Soybean, Rapeseed & Mustard, Sunflower;
b. 1 Consultant for production/protection technology
c. 1 Consultant for Oil Palm.
Remuneration: Rs. 70000 per month (consolidated)
Eligibility Criteria:
Maximum age limit: up to 70 years.
Qualifications & Experience: Doctorate degree in Agronomy/ Agriculture Extension/ Plant Breeding including
Agriculture Botany with minimum 15 years of field experience in production/ improvement of oilseed crops including oil palm under ICAR, SAUs/Institute/DAC; OR
Retired Officers of DAC with Grade pay of Rs. 8700 or equivalent for 5 years or more;
Knowledge of computers like MS-Word, excel, power point, internet etc.
Recruitment details: Consultants will be appointed initially for a period of one year, extendable on yearly basis for two years, based on performance.
2. Technical Assistants under Technical Support Group of NMOOP: 5 posts
Remuneration: up to maximum of Rs. 30000 per month (consolidated)
Eligibility Criteria:
Maximum age limit: up to 70 years.
Qualifications & Experience: Master degree in Agronomy/ Agriculture Extension/ Plant Breeding including Agriculture Botany or any field of Agriculture or related fields with proficiency in computer knowledge like MS- Word, Excel, Power Point, Internet etc.
Candidate with experience of research, extensions and crop development will be preferred.
Recruitment details: Technical Assistants will be appointed initially for a period of one year, extendable on yearly basis for two years, based on performance.
Selection Procedure: Selection of candidates will be done on the basis of their performance in the Interview.
