ranking of airhostess training institutes of india. name of all the airhostess training instiutes of india. criteria of admission to it

There is no such ranking. Few airlines recruit directly from air hostess training institutes unless they have set up their own aviation training institutes. Criteria for admission to the training institutes are usually pass in 10+2 and good communication skills along with pleasant appearance. However, when it comes to recruiting cabin crew, most airlines have very specific requirements regarding height, looks, personality, and fitness.(04.12.2008)

future in travel and tourism industry in ticketing line.and how

In the era of online ticketing and reservation of air, road, rail and other means of travel, there would be fewer full time remunerative positions in ticketing. However, the travel agencies, air/ rail, etc and hotels and other tourism organisations would continue to have openings for ticketing personnel. It would always be a better option to look for a more diversified career outlook in travel and tourism.

how we make a good career in travel and tourism sector .and in which post tell qualification what they need and experience , mention their salary also . and benefit of iata course

You can join as a graduate or a graduate of tourism studies or after a post graduate diploma or degree in travel and tourism. You could also join on the basis of various levels of the IATA course and after MBA. The higher the qualification and the more reputed the institution from where you qualify, the better would be your prospects in the travel and tourism sector. The officers of the tourism department at the all India level would be from the civil services (who could be graduates or post graduates from any discipline, and the different state governments would also have graduates / post graduates of different disciplines who have gone through the state public service commission's competitive examination for recruitment. The International Air Transport Association (IATA) is the global trade organisation of the air transport industry. There is a wide range of training options offered by IATA (listed on http://www.iata.org/training/diploma_programme) including the travel and tourism courses for which details may be obtained through the link http://www.iata.org/training/travel_tourism/. The benefit of the IATA course would depend upon the level of training and its reach as described through links above.

I am a graduate in Mathematics and working with a BPO for last three years in Airline related work like reservation and tickting.I do not see any future in this field .Please guide me what Should I do so that I could get a good job.

A graduate in Mathematics (and Physics) should not waste his/her talent doing other jobs. You can very well find a job like statician or even an engineer in a govt organisation. Various organisation like All India Radio, Doordarshan and BSNL offer jobs of Junior Engineer/ Engineering Assistant for which the advertisement appear in the EN and other papers. Please try these. National Sample Survey organisation and Central Survey Organisation also requires stastical officers with promising career progression.

Sir i want to become a commercial pilot,is it beneficial to take CPL from foreign institutes. please guide me.

The advantage of doing a course abroad is that one can complete it in time. In India, training flights may often be delayed if the flying club does not have the requisite aircraft, fuel or trainers. If you want to come back to India after training abroad, you will have to get an Indian pilots' license. After getting an American pilots' license, one has to get it converted to an Indian one from the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA). You may also have to undergo a flying check in India. After the initial license, you will have to get an airline endorsement, which means training on large aircraft like the Boeing 737. The cost of training on such aircraft can work out to Rs 50,000 per hour. Indian Airlines will bear this cost if you join them, but be prepared to sign a seven-year financial bond if you do so. Private airlines charge up to Rs 6 lakh for an endorsement, taking the cost of training abroad to about Rs 15 lakh, if not higher. A new addition for training are the flight simulators though flying clubs do not have this equipment at present. Prospects: After getting an Indian license, one can apply to the airlines for jobs. One may join as a pilot and work upwards to become a Commander.

I am a girl student of final year of science stream from delhi university. I have a strong desire to become a pilot since my childhood, But I am very confused for the same .plz help me out in this manner, i have heard that govt. has launched a programme that needs science graduates(fresher) for commercial pilot training. Could you please pass me on all the information related to this? Can I apply for this being in final year? could you plz pass me on the application form? I am also interested for becoming a pilot of air force. I have heard its application form comes in newspaper in July but I could not search it the whole month. Could you please tell me from where can i get it? I'll be thankful to you if you pass me on the information as soon as possible and help me out to be a pilot.

Before getting a commercial pilot's licence you will have to get private pilot's licence (PPL). Various flying clubs across the country launch courses for PPLs. One such flying club is located at Safdarjang Airport, New Delhi. You may get in touch with them to get the necessary information. As far as air force is concerned they take fresher and provide training. If you are a women or NCC 'C' Certificate Holder you can directly give PILOT APTITUDE BATTERY TEST (PABT), after which you can enter the IAF in flying branch. UPSC also conducts CDS exam through which you can opt for flying branch. Your age should be between 19-23 years (for graduates). The advertisement for flying branch comes necessarily in the Employment News once or twice a year. You keep watching for these.

Keep track of the recruitment notifications of the airlines and apply for positions which fit your background and skills. In fact, it would be a good idea to to log on to the websites of the various airlines and survey the nature of openings usually available for engineers of your background. You could also keep in mind that some airlines also have a Cadet Pilot entry scheme for engineering graduates which you could opt for as an when such opportunities are advertised.

I'm B.Tech(mechanical),passed out in 2006. Now i'm in govt. job but i want know about CPL course. Can I apply for this CPL licence.which are the best institutes where I can apply. Can I get benefit / preference of my B.Tech(mechanical) degree in getting admission in the best CPL institute. what's the whole course fees and duration. Is there any CPL institute where only B.Tech/gredutes can get CPL training. What's the average salary , a newly appointed CPL holder in airline can draw. I also want to inform you that I niether have SPL nor PPL Licence. Please reply as soon as possible?..... (ANEESH KUMAR SINGH)

Cadet Pilots in Air India were recruited last year from among Indian nationals who are Engineering/ Science graduates and the same scheme may be offered by other airlines. You could, therefore, look out for such options. However, I doubt you would get any preference for admission for admission to CPL course of any institute. The total cost of training for CPL works out to approximately Rs 17 lakhs. Actually, when you are recruited right after your CPL, the salary is not very high, but once your on-the-job training period is over, you can earn about Rs 50000 to Rs 1 lakh per month based on your flying hours and work experience. Different airlines may have their own remuneration packages, so this is just an approximation. List of flying schools recognized by the DGCA are listed on www.dgca.nic.in

Is it necessary to study aeronautical engineering for taking up avionics stream. If one does not take aeronautical engineering what route of study to be adopted?.... (Nazia Nizamuddin)

Avionics literally means aviation electronics. It is the science and technology of the development and use of electrical and electronics devices in aviation. In essence it comprises all electronic systems designed for use on an aircraft. If not aerospace or aeronautical engineering, it may be possible to take the electronics engineering. The Aircraft Maintenance Engineering licensing course of DGCA also includes avionics.

(surya prakash)

If the flying school offers the option of BSc Aviation then it would be a regular course. However, if that is not provided, you have to pursue your graduation through distance education. If you wish to pursue a bachelor's degree course full time then you have to be able to coordinate your flying training accordingly. Among your choice of bachelor's degree courses would be B A, B Sc, B Com, BBA, BTS, etc.

I wanted to become a Flight-steward but failed because of my short hight (5'5"). Some of the private training institutes advised me to pursue the course of a 'Ground Crew'. My Question is after pursuing the course by 1 lakh rupees what about the future and salary of a Ground Crew ? can I become a Flight- steward on the basis of my experience thereafter ? please answer in detail.(Sayantan)

You do not need to pursue any course to join an airline as ground crew. There are many equally good jobs available in banking, insurance, retail, hospitality and other service sectors which you could try for. There is no provision of becoming a flight steward after working as a ground crew or relevant experience. if you do not fulfil the basic eligibility criteria.

I keenly want to pursue Aerospace eng. as my future/career Madam, I've passed out I.sc. with 57% marks (Bihar Board) in 2005 on 10th of June I'm going to give entrance exam for AME course, IIA Delhi. But I'm interested in space eng. I want to become an astronaut & work out on different researches along with NASA. How can I proceed my career according to my wish. I want to do M.sc. & Ph.D both in institution/university in India & Abroad, but just now I am busy in preparation for AME course.(Amrita Singh)

AME would not lead you towards M Sc and Ph D in space sciences. Instead it would open up opportunities in the airline industry, which is currently doing well. Your academic record is not an indicator of potential for an academically demanding career such as space sciences. However, if you want to make the right moves, aim for B Sc Physics and then M Sc and Ph D. Employment in NASA is open only to American citizens, but you can join India's space organisation ISRO through the various openings it offers to engineers and scientists.

I have done Engeneering(EC). At present i am persuing MBA.but i am very much intreseted to be a Air Traffic Controller.so can u plz guide me how to get a job in ATC?what are the scops in future? career will e more flourishing in MBA or ATC? i am very good in numers.plz guide me. Thank you Anshul Mehta

The Airports Authority of India conducts the selection process for entry into the cadre of Manager Air Traffic Control who can be posted anywhere in India and Superintendent (ATC), usually posted region-wise. Degree in Science with Physics or Maths with minimum 60% marks in aggregate or 60% Diploma in Electronics Engineering from a recognised polytechnic below 25 years may apply for Superintendent (ATC) posts. Manager Air Traffic Control posts are open to first class engineering graduates in Electronics/ Telecommunication/Radio Engineering or equivalent or first class Science graduates with Physics or Maths as principal subject and age below 28 years. Scope is good, but your career progression would be linked to seniority and the job is high pressured. MBA would offer more scope for employment, growth and diversity.

I am doing MBA. I want to have a career in aviation industry after doing my MBA in marketing sector.... what jobs r there for me in aviation industry?....(Simran Bhatia)

There are many openings in ground-related services in aviation industry like hospitality/ ticketing/ travel arrangements/ catering etc. Even aviation Insurance is a big sector for fetching a job. You may have to go for short-term courses in related fields. First you select a field then go for specialized training/ courses that are offered by various govt. private institutions. Admission notices for admission to these courses regularly appear in the Employment News and other newspapers.

I am a IIIrd Year Electronics & communication Engineering student from Delhi . I want to join the aviation industry in India . What kind of jobs are there and how should I approach for them once I complete my engineering in 2008?

There are jobs in the engineering, maintenance, computers departments in the aviation industry, in customer services, sales and marketing, as also in flight services and it is entirely upto you what kind of opportunities you wish to try for. You would find it helpful to explore the framework of employment opportunities in the various airlines through their websites (locate through Internet search).
