 Indian Reserve Battalion, Jharkhand invites application from the eligible male candidates for their appointment as General Policeman under Indian Reserve Battalion-1, 2, 3, 4 and 5. The appointment of the candidates will be made for a period of 20 years. Interested candidates willing to apply can follow the details given below:


1. Policeman (India Reserve Battalion)
Number of Vacancies: 423
QUALIFICATION: The candidate should have passed Matriculation
or equivalent from a recognized board.
AGE: The candidate should have attained the following age as on
01.08.2011:
 General - 18 to 24 years
 Backward Class/Extreme Backward Class - 18 to 27 years
 SC/ST - 18 to 29 years



APPLICATION PROCEDURE: (i) Candidates should send their application
in the prescribed format given along side.
(ii) The application can be neatly hand written or typed.
(iii) The candidates should fill in the all the details in the application
form. They must affix a self attested recent photograph
in the space provided. The self attestation of the photograph  should be done in such a way that half of the signature should run on the photograph.


(iv)The candidates should attach the all the educational certificates/ testimonials and caste certificate (if any) with their application form.


(v) The duly filled in application forms can be submitted in person at the following offices: India Reserve Battalion -1, Jamtara India Reserve Battalion -2, Chaibasa Camp, Musabani India Reserve Battalion - 3, Chatra Camp, Piparwar India Reserve Battalion - 4, Laat Haar, Camp Lesliganj, PalamuIndia Reserve Battalion - 5, Gumla, Camp Dhurwa, Ranchi
(vi)Those candidates who submit their application form in person
should collect the acknowledgement receipt immediately.



(vii)The application forms can also be send through Registered
Post to the above mentioned offices. The acknowledgement slip
will be sent by Post to those candidates.
SELECTION PROCEDURE:
(i) The selection of the candidate shall be done through a 2-tier
process. Firstly, the candidates will have to appear for a Physical
Efficiency Test (PFT). The details of the test are as follows:
PHYSICAL EFFICIENCY TEST (PFT): The candidates will be tested on
the following parameters:
�� Completion of 1 mile running in 06 minutes
�� Long Jump - 12 ft
�� High Jump - 04 ft
�� Shot Put ( 16 pounds) - 15 ft
(ii) The candidates qualifying the Physical Efficiency Test will
appear for a Written Examination. The written examination will
be of 80 marks and questions will be asked of the matriculation
level.


NOTE: The minimum passing marks in the written examination
shall be 30% for the candidates belonging to the SC/ST category
and 40% for the candidates belonging to the other categories.
MERIT LIST: An over all merit list of only those candidates will be
prepared who qualify the Physical Efficiency Test, Written

Examination and pass all the medical standards prescribed by
the authority. The following marks will be allotted to the candidates
under the Physical Standard and Educational Qualification
norms:
GENERAL NOTES: (i) Those candidates who submit their application
form in person, must collect the acknowledgement slip immediately
duly signed by the concerned receiver after the submission
of the application form. However, those candidates who will
send their application form through Postal services will receive
their acknowledge slip by Post only.
(ii) The selected candidates will undergo a Medical Test in the
month of October every year. In case if a candidate is found unfit
during the course of his service, his services will be terminated.
